Stop Feeling Stressed Out about Not Having Enough Time
Let’s face it—no one seems to have enough time. When you feel time pressure, your stress level increases. Increased stress leads to illness. If you want to eliminate the stress associated with feeling like you don’t have enough time,
here’s what to do.
Each time you catch yourself saying, “I don’t have enough time to,” say this instead: “I have enough time to accomplish all that I want to do.”
When you say this, close your eyes and see yourself falling asleep at the end of the day having accomplished everything you needed to do. Try this for the next week—you will be amazed at the results.
The Value of a Happy Customer
What is one of the best ways to have your marketing go viral? A happy customer who tells everyone they know about your services.
How do you get happy customers? Three great strategies include:
- Promise less than you know you can deliver and then deliver more than you promise.
- Respond promptly to their inquiries throughout the transaction. Even better, anticipate what they want and provide before they even ask.
- Go the extra mile—take their dog to doggie day care on moving day, remember their birthdays and anniversaries, and always remember to stay in touch after your transaction closes.
Spring Cleaning Time
The first quarter of 2026 is history and it’s an excellent time for you to review your production numbers. Are you hitting your goals? Is your income on track with your expectations? If not, get out in the nice weather and hold open houses,
connect with potential leads at sporting events by wearing your company attire, or even try some door knocking. The basics still work.
Also, it’s a great time to do a little house cleaning in your business. Get rid of anything that’s not working or is taking too much time with too little return.
It’s also time to clear out those buyers who won’t buy and those unrealistic sellers who won’t lower their price—fire them or refer them to another agent. Getting rid of them creates space for new, more motivated clients to come into your business. You won’t believe how good you’ll feel if you do.
Capitalize on Daylight Savings Time
Now that we’re on Daylight Savings Time, twilight open houses are a great way to take advantage of the extra sunshine in the evenings. People are out later and kids are more likely to be playing outside. Weekday and/or twilight open houses are a great way to have your signs seen by more people.

If you hold a twilight open house, be sure you use 6-8 directional signs plus serve some sort of refreshments. This is one of the best ways to have your name visible in an area where you specialize. You’re also quite likely to meet a lot of those neighbors who are walking their dogs or out with their kids after dinner.
An Easy Way to Break Through Procrastination
Procrastination is one of the most expensive ways most of us lose business and waste time that would be better spent with our loved ones.
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, however, it’s easy to procrastinate and plan on dealing with the issue later. Here’s a different way to approach the challenge that is surprisingly easy.
The secret is to shift your focus from “what’s not done” to “What can I do right now?” This simple approach clears out all the “what I should be doing” and allows you to focus on your highest priority activity. Try it for at least five days to see how well it works for you. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how effective this simple approach can be.
