How to Build Excellence in Your Business through Innovation
How can you go about creating excellence in your business? The first step is to constantly search for ways to improve what you do and how you do it. This means regularly attending seminars and educational events, especially in the area of technology.
Nevertheless, having good ideas is not enough. The next step is to take the necessary steps to implement them in your business. Here’s a simple approach that really works.
When you hear of a new idea that might be worth implementing in your business, jot it down in a “new ideas” file on your phone, Evernote, or Google docs. At the end of the month, review the list and choose the top idea, script, dialogue, or tool to add to your business in the upcoming month. If it improves your business and/or service, then implement it permanently.
Regardless of whether it works or not, implement the next new strategy the following month!

Keep Your Technology Out of Your Bedroom
Keeping your technology out of your bedroom may sound like crazy advice. The question is, does your bedroom feel calm and relaxing? If you have an office, is it easy for you to work or is it filled with distractions?
To sleep better while also being more productive when you’re working, the secret is to match the room you’re in with the type of energy best suited to the room. For example, your bedroom should
be a place to feel happy, calm, and relaxed. If you work on your mobile device, computer, pay bills, or do other types of work in this area, you’re now bringing in a work energy into an area that is meant for rest and relaxation.
By the same token, if your work area is cluttered with family pictures and items that distract you from working, put them elsewhere. The bottom line is to keep your relaxation and your work areas completely separate. If you haven’t done this already, try it for two weeks. The results will surprise you!
