A Secret Way to Score Points with Luxury Buyers and Sellers

A substantial proportion of luxury clients are into collectibles.

It might be wine, rare books, Civil War guns, or a host of other items. When you work with luxury clients, be sure to ask if they enjoy collecting any particular type of item. If the answer is “yes,” ask about their hobby. Also, be sure to make a point of researching what they collect online so you can have a knowledgeable conversation with them about this important part of their life.

An Unusual Way to Attract More Clients

Like an old electricity guzzling refrigerator, there are certain aspects of our environment that soak up your energy for no really good reason. For example, is your garage or attic packed with things you no longer use? How about your closet? If so, these items are taking up both space and energy because every time you look at them you’re reminded, “I need to clean the garage” or “I wish I had more room in my closet.”

The reason most people become overwhelmed with these tasks is they believe they believe they must complete them all at once. If you’ll allocate 30 minutes each week to pack 2 or 3 boxes, you’ll be surprised how quickly the task actually goes. Best of all, creating space anywhere in your life usually opens the door to attracting new business.

A few days ago, I sat down with Leslie Appleton Young, the former Chief Economist for the California Association of Realtors and Coni Meyers to do an interview for the WomanUP! podcast, Coffee and Conversations.

On this show, I was the guest along with Coni while Leslie did the interviewing. After completing the interview, Leslie said it was “Nothing short of magical.”

If you want to learn from some of the tough lessons as well as the wins we have had in our long careers in this business, please tune in. It’s a fascinating conversation and we sincerely hope you will enjoy as much as we did in creating it!
